Digital Image Tutorials with Photoshop

One of the first Photoshop tools we work with is the "text" tool.  Students combined a photo and text of their choice to communicate their message.  First photo is by D.C.

Students also used selection tools to isolate a plain background and then alter the background with paint, shapes, or a gradient.  This example by J. K.

K. D.'s Poolside Tan.

More finished projects coming soon...

This Table Could Be Yours!

Pottery III students upcycled this 80's style table from the thrift store into a conversation piece.
This rainbow-bright table is open for bids at Angel Flight.
The table top is a glass mosaic of clouds on a blue background.
Hope to see you at Angel Flight!

Wearable Art Progress

Pottery II students have spent the last week examining wearable art.  We have explored fashion, uniforms, different eras and styles of clothing across cultures, and protective clothing.
Some original clothing web sites we discovered are:

A shoe.

Leopard print trim...Meow!

Glue seams on the inside are the best technique.

Pink and zebra print.
One package of animal print tissue paper from Dick Blick goes along way
and adds variety to the final product.

Shorts.

Swimsuit.

Another shoe.  This one looks difficult to feel comfortable in.
